Breakfast at the hotel. Start of excursion. Our first stop is Jvari. Jvari is a 6 th century Georgian Orthodox monastery. Next, we move on to explore Mtskheta (one of the oldest cities of Georgia). Now we head back to Tbilisi for lunch. Further, we go on for shopping in Carefure mall. Head back to hotel for dinner. (O/n in Tbilisi)
Mtskheta is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has been inhabited since 1,000 BC and was once the capital of the early Kingdom of Iberia (today’s Eastern Georgia).
Breakfast at the hotel. Start our excursion by visiting Old Tbilisi, then we go to Sameba Holy Trinity Cathedral. Take Funicular cable railways (leads to a beautiful leisure and amusement park with fountains) to KartlisDeda Monument of Mother of Georgia. Then we walk ahead (duration 7 minutes) to Narikala Fortress of 4th c and then to Turkish bath houses complex. From there we further walk ahead to Chardin Street (full of modern, popular restaurants, open air café-bars, art galleries), Leselidze street, and then to Freedom Square and then to Rustaveli Ave. Then we take a break and have lunch. Move on to visit Peace Bridge, from there we proceed to dancing and singing fountains. Head to hotel, have some rest. Dinner at hotel (o/n in Tbilisi).
The Holy Trinity Sameba Cathedral is the symbol of new Georgia. The beauty and sizes of cathedral are indeed breathtaking, and rises magnificently on the hill of the St. Ilya, on the bank of the Kura River. Sameba is the highest church in Georgia. It is 101m high.
After having breakfast, drive to Sighnaghi city “City of wine and love” move on to St. Stephen bell tower from there we go to Monastery Bodbe. Have lunch, stop in Sagarejo in a hotel, have dinner and stay overnight (o/n in Tbilisi).
Sighnaghi: The administrative center of the Sighnaghi Municipality, one of the smallest towns in the country, busy with the production of wine, traditional carpets and Georgian traditional food Mcvadi.
Bodbe: This beautiful monastery is one of the most important places for Georgians, because St. Nino, who brought Christianity to Georgia, is buried there.
Check out from the hotel and head to Mtatsminda Park (a beautiful leisure and amusement park overlooking the entire city and TV tower) and have lunch. Halt for shopping in the city center, Flee market and Tbilisi Mall. Have dinner, transfer to the airport, and depart with everlasting memories...
